In June 1972, the Housing and Development Board launched Our Home, a free magazine to explain the government's public housing policies and educate its residents about living in these new environments. High-rise public housing was a new concept in Singapore and the government was actively resettling citizens into such estates to make way for urban development.

The magazine's logo and the publication was outsourced to graphic design studio Hagley & Hoyle. This logo was in use until 1977 when the magazine was refreshed.

In 1989, Our Home ceased publication after 17 years.
