The exhibition was organised from 16-30 October 1971 at the gallery located at 7 Alexandra Avenue. It featured the works of Abdul Latif, Cheong Soo Pieng, Choy Weng Yang, Goh Beng Kwan, Khoo Sui-Hoe, Liu Kang, Loo Foh Sang, Qwek Wee Chew, Tay Chee Toh, Arthur Yap, Yeo Hoe Koon and Thomas Yeo.

The artist-run cooperative was initiated by architect Lim Chong Keat who was an avid art collector.
