The 240-page issue explores what it means to be a woman in a man’s world and spotlights the work of nine independent female photographers and artists. They included Juli Balla, Lavender Chang, Wen-Li Chen, Alecia Neo, Mintio, Wei Leng Tay, Debbie Tea, Agathe de Bailliencourt and Julie Verhoeven. It was produced in collaboration with Singapore-based luxury fashion retailer Club 21 to commemorate the opening of the Comme des Garçons boutique in Singapore.
Each cover in the collection is individually handcrafted and assembled with a patchwork made up of editorial spreads from Club 21 magazines, Comme des Garçons hang tags, and pieces of printed graphics and magazine tear sheets. The covers are then finished with graffiti- style numbers and letters.
The magazine won two D&AD Wood Pencil Awards in 2013.
