This inaugural issue had contributions from Mr Hsu Yun-Tisao of the Southeast Asian Research Centre of Singapore, Mr Tjoe Ji Nan, a well-known collector of Chinese Art, Miss Constance Sheares, the museum's curator of art and Mrs Grace Wong, its curator of anthropology.

Its cover was designed by Choy Weng Yang, who worked in the museum's Exhibition and Design Unit.
