In 1972, Greatways International opened two establishments named “Gils’ Gril”, a western restaurant, and “The Copper Kettle Coffee House”, inside Shaw Centre. The former was located at the mezzanine floor complete with a grand bar counter and the latter on the ground floor. Both offered a snug and comfort spot for tourists and shoppers to refresh.
The menu of Gils’ Grill specialized in imported American steaks and a complex selection of wine to pair. Furnished in rose wood walls and generous carpeting, the restaurant served a luxurious ambience to fellow diners.
