Sinsin started in 1955 as a soya sauce and taucheo producer. It was founded by Chinese immigrant Tan Leong Seng who learnt the art while working in a soya sauce company. When he chanced upon a bankrupt factory in Jalan Telaga, he started the company with his younger brother and two good friends.
In 1962, the company began producing its garlic chilli sauce which became well-known in the local market. To meet its growing production capacity, the company moved to Chin Bee Avenue in 1976.
