This restaurant, bar and nightclub in the Cathay had an authentic fishing stake setting. After the closing of the Cathay Hotel, a company called Kelong Enterprise was created to run it separate from the Cathay Organisation. A contest was organised to rename the club, but the owners decided to stick with The Kelong after all.

The Kelong was closed after the government's ban on nightclubs at the height of the drug spread.
