The first National Exposition was held at the National Stadium from 3 to 12 August. It featured 300 stalls and products from not Singapore but also Russia, Bulgaria, Nepal, the Middle East, Malaysia, Hong Kong and other countries. It was organised by Intrafairs Pte Ltd., a company set up to organise trade fairs, conventions, product displays and the overseas promotion of made in Singapore goods.
On the back of the matchbook is a logo of Keppel Shipyard.
