This association is formed by the Penang Turf Club, Perak Turf Club, Selangor Turf Club and the Singapore Turf Club. It was formed in 1896 as the Straits Racing Association to regulate horse racing in Singapore and Malaysia. It was renamed in 1961 as the Malayan Racing Association.
