Singapore's biggest and oldest food and beverage manufacturer, Fraser & Neave, opened its restaurant inside the National Stadium in 1973. It consisted of three parts: a coffee house named "Champion's Kitchen"; a cocktail lounge called the "Olympic"; and a Chinese restaurant. Its interior decor was by Johnny Johnson.
Champion's Kitchen has a spring green arborial atmosphere which extended from its interior to its waitress uniforms. It offered international fare ranging from European to Muslim meals.
