Located at the junction of East Coast and Haig Road, the eight-storey Katong Shopping Complex was a complex offering shops and offices in east of Singapore. The fully air-conditioned facility officially opened in 1973.

The building was designed by Design Partnership (now known as DP Architects) who also worked on Golden Mile Complex and People's Park Complex.
