The logo's four human figures are "living an active lifestyle" and form the initials of the town council's name. The colours reflect the vibrant community living in harmony, while the green arc and two blue wave bands symbolise the green spaces and waterways within the town.

Nee Soon Town Council was established on 1 April 2013 following a restructuring from the original Sembawang-Nee Soon Town Council.
