The logo is made up several elements symbolic of Jalan Besar. The blue waves represent the town's Kallang River, which was once where a vibrant coolie trade thrived. The red sails depict the bustle of a busy port that is Singapore and the resort environment the council hopes to build. The housing flats in the background indicate the core concern of the council in maintaining and enhancing the town's public housing estates.

In 2011, the town council changed its logo when it merged to form Moulmein-Kallang Town Council.
