18 September–17 October 2026
Earl Lu Gallery, LASALLE College of the Arts
This exhibition features BA (Hon) Design Communication students’ engagement and interpretation of the Singapore Graphic Archives, which was founded by writer Justin Zhuang in 2011.
Using the archive as an entry point, students reflect on design history and the act of exhibiting design. The exhibition is an active site of practice and inquiry—Collection as Practice positions collecting, selecting and interpreting as critical design acts.
Working throughout the semester, students crafted and curated the exhibition, examining how design collections play a role in forming historical narratives. Through their design gestures, they present how the collection may be re-read and reactivated for the future designers.
