This logo for the Singapore Mint uses the letters "SM" to depict a flying bird. The designer, an industrial engineer in its Process & Tool Design Section, was inspired by the freedom associated with such creatures of nature.
When the logo is turned outside down, it also depicts the letters "CIS", which are the initials for its parent company, the Chartered Industries of Singapore.
